Just like China, Vietnam was also a communist state in the past. Today, it is considered as one of the fastest growing economies in the world, after shifting to capitalism.

And just like any booming capitalist nation, Vietnam's citizens are beginning to embrace luxury--especially the rich. Thousand-dollar Louis Vuitton handbags or Gucci sandals are now a common sight in the streets of Hanoi, where, formerly, display of affluence was a big no-no.
